We welcome you to our campground and want you to have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable stay. To ensure that you do, please remember you are a guest on this property, sharing the surroundings with other campers just like you, please respect that. This campground is privately owned and operated, therefore we must know who is on the property at all times. Our policies are in place to ensure EVERYONE’S safety and comfort. A complete list of camping rules will be given to you at check-in for your camping party to read and follow.

If you are coming to see our campground for the first time, Great! However, it is ‘not okay’ to just drive thru to ‘look’. You must register at the office before entering the campground and receive a visitors pass. If no one is in the office, please ring the bell. Chestnut Ridge is a privately owned campground and we are required to know who is in our campground at all times. We thank you in advance! Visitor cars must have a pass affixed to their rearview mirror at all times.

The campground is open to the public May 1 thru Oct 1, from 11:00am until 7:00pm for fishing and picnicking.
The entrance fee is $4.00 per person.
Those persons having a function at a Pavilion or The Barn or visiting a seasonal camper will receive a discounted rate.

Guests visiting Chestnut Ridge will be charged a $4.00 fee per person
Guests must arrive before 8:00pm and leave before 10:00pm
If your guest is staying overnight, the fee is $5.00
Regulations require us to keep track of who is in the park at all times

The rules for your visitors are simple:

  • All of your visitors must be registered at the office and pay the fee. Please inform them of this ahead of time. If you like, you may stop at the office ahead of their arrival and pay their fee for them. Visitors may not bring any pets. Please inform them of this before they arrive. Campers are responsible for the actions of their registered guests.
  • All visitors are subject to the rules of the campground. Any violation may result in the removal of the visitor(s) and the camper, without refund. We reserve the right to restrict visitors in our campground at any time, and to any campsite (especially during Holiday Periods or busy weekends).

Quiet time is from 11:00pm to 8:00am. We ask that you please respect your neighbors by keeping conversation and music volume to a minimum at all times. We do not allow generators to run at any time. You will only have one warning before you are asked to leave without a refund.

Please burn only wood logs. Please do not burn trash. This includes but is not limited to: paper, plastic and Styrofoam plates, cups, bottles, utensils, bags, containers, and aluminum, tin and plastic cans and bottles, and cigarette packs, food.

Because the campground is full of active families with children, the speed limit throughout the campground is 5MPH and is strongly enforced for your safety. If you do not feel that you are driving ridiculously slow, then you are driving too fast. You are required to stop at all stop signs.

Our dump station is free for currently registered campers. Any other camper using it will be charged a $25.00 fee. We kindly ask that you do not dispose of anything other than black & gray water in our sewer hook-ups. Please do not flush “flushable” wipes, disposable gloves, paper towels, shop towels and diapers into our sewer system. Use only RV toilet paper.

Swimming is permitted on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 12:00 pm and 6:00pm. No one under the age of 14 is permitted at the swimming lake or the paddle boats without an adult (21 years of age) present. Pets are NOT allowed near the beach area or in the lake. No life guard is on duty. Swim at your own risk .

Paddle boats are also available for rent. Paddle boat fees are $5.00 for 30 minutes. This fee must be prepaid at the office. An attendant will assist you with the paddle boat.

RV and Tent camping check-in is 1:00pm; check-out is Noon.

Checking-out means exiting the site and leaving the campground. We believe in the policy of “Leave No Trace”. When you check out, please take all trash to the dumpsters near the shower building.

Reservations are always suggested, especially during Summer months. Walk-ins are accepted as sites are available. There is no night check in.

There is no night check in. Areas of our camp are very dark and may be difficult to get into at night – thus causing unwanted noise. It is best to try to arrive before dusk. Required quiet hours are 11:00pm – 8:00am. If you do not think you can make it before dusk, please call the office the day of arrival to make arrangements.

The site fee includes 2 adults / 2 children (children under 18 years) – one RV or tent – one vehicle. Extra fee applies for additional persons, guests, vehicles, trailers, etc. Maximum of 6 persons allowed at one site. A responsible adult, 21 years or older is required for all campsite reservations and must be present during stay. As we are not connected to a city sewer system, some sites have sewer hookups, and waste disposal can be performed at the dump station when departing. Honey wagon service is available upon request for an additional charge.

Of course, they’re family, too and we love pets!

We limit pets to two per camper and regardless of breed, no aggressive dogs are permitted.

While staying with us, your dog must be leashed (max. 6 ft. leash) at all times, cleaned up after and never be left alone at your site, in your RV or any other area of the park, as well as being kept quiet and not disturbing other guests.

Please keep your dog away from the playground, swimming beach and barn. Your dog may not swim in our lake.

Proof of rabies vaccination must be provided upon request. Your visitors may not bring their pets with them.

YES! We have bundled that can be purchased at the office.

To ensure the safety, privacy and enjoyment of our guests, the use of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles), is prohibited.

We have a catch & release fishing lake and pond. No license required. We do not sell bait. You may fish between the hours of 11:00am and 7:00pm.

Entrance onto the campground property constitutes permission for the management of Chestnut Ridge Campground in Hubbard Ohio to photograph the visitor while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without compensation to the visitor.

In consideration for all our guests, we do not allow use of generators.

It is allowed on your campsite only! Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and will result in eviction without refund.

You may bring your golf cart, however, ATV’s, mini-motor bikes, or other off-road motorized vehicles are not allowed. Only licensed drivers may drive any motorized vehicles on our roads.

If for some unforeseen circumstance the campground closes due to an emergency or disaster, the campground will make every effort to notify you. In these cases, all fees will be refunded as soon as possible.

In case of inclement weather, the campground remains open to, but if you choose to leave after check-in, no refunds will be issued.
